Kenneth Liley, Owner of Liley Funeral Homes and Monument Works of Marble Hill and Patton, Missouri. Kenneth Liley began his career in 1954 for the Ward Funeral Home in Lutesville, Mo. while he was junior in high school.

He attended the Southeast Missouri State University and later graduated from Gupton Mortuary College in Nashville, Tennessee.

During the 1960's he created a successful insurance agency in the county and worked for the Kemper Insurance Group, continuing in that capacity and winning numerous production awards for his service. He also earned the Certified Insurance Counselor designation.

Kenneth Liley spent 14 years with Missouri National Guard based in Fredericktown, Mo.

Judy Liley has been a licensed funeral director, since 1980 and manages the Patton Funeral Home and Monument sales location. She also directs the operations portion of the Kenneth Liley Preneed and Funeral Insurance Agency.

Chris Liley joined his family in the Funeral and Monument business in January 1981.

In 1982, Chris attended the Elberton Granite Association basic monument course given in Elberton, Ga. Chris also attended three other courses given by the Institute. He has served as an instructor for the Elberton Institute and was teaching a class on September 11, 2001, the day the twin towers went down in New York.

 

 

In 1995, Chris attained the Certified Memorialist designation awarded by the Monument Builders of North America. Chris is actively involved in all phases of monument operations, including sales, carving and lettering and installations.

Chris has also furthered his education by attending the Monument Builders of North America sessions- “Next Step” and knowledge quest seminars. He is presently serving as President of the Mid-America Monument Builders Association for the years of 2003 & 2004 and has been actively involved as a board member for the past 8 years. MAMBA covers the states of Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, and Oklahoma.
 

In 1996, Liley Funeral Homes & Monument Works was Awarded Business Of The Year.


Michael Liley has been a licensed funeral director and a licensed embalmer since 1991, and has an associate's degree in Mortuary Science. Mike joined the Liley family business in March of 2000.

Prior to getting into the funeral service he obtained an associates degree in Data processing and Business Management with an emphases in accounting. Following his graduation from Mortuary College he served his apprenticeship with Buchholz Mortuaries in St. Louis and after that he went to work for the Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico, Mo., where he was also associated with the Audrain County Coroners Office.

In June 2002, Liley Monument Works received “The Mark of Excellence” from the Monument Builders of North America. And Today . . . . .
